Puerto Pollensa is a popular family resort with a decidedly British feel to it. During the summer there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants although these start to close down in October and reopen at Easter. The lovely unique feature of Puerto Pollensa is the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which provides a stunning backdrop to the town. The larger hotels in Puerto Pollensa provide entertainment and activities programmes to keep the whole family amused. Outside of Puerto Pollensa around 10 minutes away in Alcudia, you will find other activities. There are waterparks, mini golf courses and a Go Kart track. In the evening you will find the nightlife low key, mainly centred around hotel entertainment. But for night owls there is one local disco called Chivas. If it's nightlife you're after then Magaluf or Palma Nova may suit you more. Puerto Pollensa is recommended for families and couples looking for a relaxing break.
